| The SUN Initiative was founded by the City of Portland, OR and Multnomah County, OR in 1999 as a partnership of city, county, state, and schools. As of July 2003, it is now part of the School Age Policy Framework, a service delivery system that aligns health, mental health, retention, alcohol and drug, and extended-day activities to serve more children and families where they reside: their schools, their cultural communities, and their neighborhoods. |
